Motyw

Członkinie Leo/need były koleżankami w dzieciństwie, jednak z powodu pewnego wypadku gdy były w szkole podstawowej ich przyjaźń stała się napięta.

Jednego dnia Hoshino Ichika odkryła niezatytułowaną piosenkę na jej telefonie. Ta piosenka, gdy została odtworzona, przeniosła Ichikę do Sekai. Tam, poznaje ona Hatsune Miku, która ją wita w SEKAI i prosi, aby z nią zaśpiewała piosenkę.

Music

The music designated to Leo/need in-game leans toward the J-rock genre, and uses the band's instruments of electric guitar, electric bass, acoustic drums, and synthesizer or piano. The members do not dance in live shows and 3D MVs, instead playing their instruments.

In-universe, the Ichika and Saki collaborate to produce their own music for performing at live shows. Ichika writes lyrics, while Saki composes. Ichika is the lead vocalist of Leo/need, with the other three members providing backing vocals or occasionally being featured as a lead vocal.
