Wanting to get close to RAD WEEKEND, Rin suggests that Kohane, An, Akito, Toya, and the Virtual Singers rewatch the footage of that night. After it finishes, they can't help but agree that Nagi seemed to be central to RAD WEEKEND's energy. They ask An to tell them more about her, hoping to find a hint.

Chapter 2: The Person Named Kotaki Nagi[edit | edit source]

Many years ago on Vivid Street, an elementary school aged An practices on the street, to the delight of the locals. Taiga and Nagi appear, searching for An's father, Ken, who's out helping a rookie group. Nearby, a fight breaks out.

Chapter 3: Everyday Life on the Streets[edit | edit source]

Nagi steps in to break up the fight, urging the rappers to fight with music to settle their differences. The battle evolves into a full-on event, dragging bystanders, Nagi, Taiga, and An into the fray. Ken appears, promising An that he'll come watch her practice the following day.

Chapter 4: Adult Stuff[edit | edit source]

Later that evening, Ken, Taiga, Nagi and An play at an arcade. A staff member of a local live house approaches the group, asking for help, and Nagi departs with them, promising to play with An soon.

The following day, the group plays basketball and makes plans for dinner. On their way home, they encounter the new Kamiyama High School, still under construction. A young musician approaches them, asking for help with contract negotiations, and Nagi and Taiga leave with them.

Chapter 5: Non-Intersecting Roads[edit | edit source]

One week later, Ken tells An that he's been called to help at a local live house whose manager has collapsed. An is dejected, asking if it's a pain to spend time with her, and Ken promises her it's not, and that he, Nagi and Taiga will watch her practice on Sunday. An continues her practice, though upset.

That Sunday, An heads out to practice, waiting for the others. Ken, Taiga, and Nagi are stopped by another live house manager, asking them to cover for a popular American team who can no longer make their event. A staff member promises to find An on Vivid Street and relay the change of plans, but An leaves the street, trying to find the missing trio.

Chapter 6: Freezing Rain[edit | edit source]

An waits until evening, with no sign of her father and the others. The live house staff finally finds her, explaining their whereabouts. An is furious, running to the Scramble Crossing in tears, resolving that she hates her father and everyone on Vivid Street, and she's never going home.

Chased by a police officer and a cold rain, she remembers the under-construction Kamiyama High School, and enters the site for shelter. She hears the footsteps of a construction worker come to retrieve their phone and convinces herself that it's a ghost. She hides, terrified, until she hears the footsteps again.

Chapter 7: For Me, This City Is...[edit | edit source]

Nagi appears, having remembered An's eagerness to explore the construction site. An cries to her, bemoaning the fact that the people in town always keep Nagi, Taiga, and her father from spending time with her. Nagi regales her with stories of the Vivid Street locals loving and being excited to know a younger An. She explains that because the locals love them, they want to repay that love.

They emerge from the construction site to a large crowd of locals, all looking for An. Every one is relieved to see her safe, including her father. An apologizes to the locals, and tells them that she loves them all too.

Chapter 8: City Lights[edit | edit source]

Kohane, Akito, Toya and the Virtual Singers are touched by the story. Akito and Toya recall Taiga's message to "look at this town", thinking that Nagi's sentiment has something to do with it.

The group splits for the night, and An tells Ken about her story, and how much she misses Nagi being overseas. She resolves to do better at her next event so Nagi can see her growth.

Ken thinks to himself that maybe it's finally time to tell An about "everything".
